Presence camera is not a generic, all-purpose VR Camera. It focuses on a particular use case ( camera static on a tripod, and the action happens in 90º ), which solves better than other generic solutions.
The first thing to do is to switch on the cameras and start recording.
Then, follow this 2 steps :
1 – Turn on the Presence’s tripod motor to scan the 360 surroundings.
The scene should be static during this first process ( 1 minute ). Moving elements close to the camera should be avoided.
2 – When the cameras stop panning, they will start recording the animated sequence of your VR vídeo. In this step, both cameras are static, only recording what is there in front of you.
The video “movement” is restricted to the areas that your cameras can record in this step.
how does it work?
The word “presence” derives from the term “telepresence”.
It refers to the sense of “being there”.
An illusion that a mediated experience is not mediated.
